I took the German A1.2 and A2 courses at ILA, and I also took the A2 exam. I learned a lot, and the price was very reasonable. I took the SVEB certificate course at ILS and highly recommend it. Mila’s instruction was professional and well-structured, and she always treated us participants with empathy and as equals. I was able to learn a great deal during the course, both in terms of the subject matter and about myself, as much of the course structure was designed to encourage reflection. The pleasant atmosphere and the smooth organization in collaboration with the ILS school also contributed to my positive experience of the course. Through visual language systems, deaf and hearing-impaired people have the opportunity for social and cultural participation in the hearing world.

For hearing people, learning sign language is a special challenge: They have to learn to communicate not through sounds but through arms, hands, posture and facial expressions.

At ILS you will find sign language courses for hearing people. The language courses are based on the Swiss-German sign language (DSGS).

Choose private lessons as an individual course, a small group that you form yourself or a group course that takes place once a week. Our experienced teachers design the lessons according to your wishes. Book one of our lesson packages and schedule your lessons when it suits you best. The courses can take place at our premises in Bern, Basel and Zurich or at your location. More flexibility is not possible!
