Content Business English Private
Business English is an essential part of the basic skills expected by an employer in today's working world. However, even excellent school English does not guarantee that you can avoid embarrassing yourself in front of international business partners with an inappropriate phrase. Unlike in everyday language, great importance is attached to a chosen and precise form of expression at work.
If you want to appear confident in negotiations with English-speaking colleagues, a business English language course is indispensable.
Here you will learn specialized vocabulary, as well as grammatical features of business English, which will ensure that you can communicate seriously in your work environment. For this purpose, we use textbooks that are structured according to specific topics that are relevant in everyday working life. A day in the office, the trainee, meetings, but also job applications, presentations and negotiations are addressed. In addition, the focus is on different countries, whose cultural characteristics and business-related customs are examined in more detail.
The fact that an entrepreneur in English is an "entrepreneur" and by no means a "mortician", or that the English-sounding word "beamer" should better be translated as "overhead-projector", will be explained to you by means of exercise texts and exemplary dialogues. Also the grammar, which is partly already assumed, is deepened and underpinned in these lessons. For example, you will learn where and when it is better not to translate the German word "wie" in English with "how". It would be wrong to translate the sentence "How will this look like?" with "How will this look like?". The correct translation would be "What will this look like?". You should also be more comfortable with English tenses after this course.
In a private course, our teachers can also respond to your individual needs and create a lesson plan that suits your needs.
Sign up now and position yourself confidently in the English-speaking workplace.
